QualOT Hand Therapy - FOR INQUIRIES

Nicole Bosci

Hello and thank you for visiting our website! I graduated from Sydney University in 1995, obtaining a Bachelor of Applied Science, Occupational Therapy. My time here in Port Macquarie started in 1997 where I first started working at Port Macquarie Base Hospital as a young therapist keen to establish my career in hand and upper limb rehabilitation. 20 years later and I am still as passionate about hand therapy as the day I first started. In 2000 I started my first private practice with the name “Mid Coast Hand Rehabilitation” and have now progressed the practice to it’s current name QualOT Hand Therapy. Starting a private practice has been a highlight for me as I can ensure there are no limits to the provision of quality of care that is provided to our clients. I endeavour to source the “best of the best” for our clients, both by way of products and treatment modalities offered within the practice. I love a challenge and look forward to meeting your needs at every step of your treatment program. I am a member of AHPRA, OT Australia, and an Associate member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association. If you have a question, please do not hesitate to pick up the phone and have a chat about whether or not hand therapy is appropriate for you!

Graduating from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science, Occupational Therapy in 2010, I quickly found my passion in Hand Therapy. As a new graduate I worked in both the public and private sector specialising in trauma. Gaining a wealth of knowledge from leading therapists in the state, I returned to Port Macquarie in 2013 to bring those skills back to my local area. I have been working at QualOT Hand Therapy for four years now and have loved the diversity of injuries and varied diagnosis that we are able to treat. I am a member of OT Australia, a Full Member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association (AHTA), have previously held committee positions on the Australian Hand Therapy Association, and in 2016 I completed my Masters in Science, Hand Therapy at the University of Derby. I am currently working on publishing a paper focusing on rehabilitation of UCL reconstruction of the elbow. Ongoing education is a strong passion of mine. It is my goal for rural health services to be equiped to provide our clients with the most up to date treatment approaches to achieve the best outcome possible.

In 2015 I graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Hons). During the course of my degree I acquired a 3-month placement in outpatient/ inpatient hand therapy at Hervey Bay Hospital and fortunately continued as a peer mentor for second year students.

Since graduating I have been employed by Queensland Health working within a community team. Currently, I’m a member of Allied Health Practitioner Regulation Association (AHPRA) and Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA).

Over the last six years I have been travelling to Port Macquarie for holidays with the intention to relocate. This coupled with my desire to progress my career in upper limb rehabilitation has lead to the privilege of commencing with Qual OT Hand Therapy in 2017.

As the admin at QualOT Hand Therapy I like to ensure that our patients feel welcome and comfortable. I grew up in Germany and moved to Australia in 2013. After completing my apprenticeship as a management assistant in foreign trade and working in various admin positions, I joined the QualOT Hand Therapy team in 2016. I thoroughly enjoy my role at QualOT Hand Therapy and aim to provide our customers with a friendly and professional service.
